Why Should You Wear a Wrist Support?
Designed to provide structural stability to your wrist, firm supports help ensure your injury heals properly. If you don't stabilise the area when you're suffering from a wrist condition, this can lead to the injury worsening which will cause more pain in the long run.
Sizing of the Wrist and Thumb Brace
The Wrist and Thumb Support is available in a choice of four different sizes. To find which brace will help you the most, measure the circumference of your wrist. Please consult the table below to find your perfect size.
Size | Wrist Circumference (cm) |
---|
Small | 14 - 15.9cm |
Medium | 15.9 - 18.4cm |
Large | 18.4 - 21cm |
Extra Large | 21 - 23.5cm |
Metal Reinforced Thumb Crotch
To correctly align your hand and thumb during the body's natural healing process, this firm support features a metal reinforcement to hold your thumb in place, ensuring the joint and tendons do not struggle to regain flexibility in the later stages of recovery.
Provides Compression and Firm Support
The neoprene-based Wrist Support places firm support and compression on your injured wrist to relieve pain and weakness in the area. This pressure helps ensure your wrist can strengthen over time by increasing blood circulation and helping it recover faster after injury or exercise.
Thermal Neoprene to Retain Body Heat
Blending compression and heat retention, the Oppo Wrist Support utilises a neoprene rubber layer sandwiched between durable cotton and nylon laminates to act as a thermal insulator. This helps retain body heat and increase blood circulation which accelerates the body's natural healing process, relieving pain, swelling and stiffness.
Strengthen the Joint and Prevent Injury
Using the Oppo Wrist and Thumb Stabiliser, you ensure the joints heal correctly and this allows for greater flexibility in the muscles, tendons and ligaments once properly healed. This reduces the risk of new or recurring injury, allowing you to get back to your everyday routine without worrying about over-exertion.
How Do You Apply the Support?
- Position thumb on the thumb-locking area of the support.
- Be sure the metal splint is on the lateral side of the thumb.
