What Should I Do if I Fall Between Sizes?

If your shoe size falls between two sizes, we suggest selecting the larger of the two sizes for comfort. However, if you would prefer a snug fit, please select the lower of the two sizes.

If your ankle is swollen and you are close to a sizing boundary, we would advise choosing a larger size.

What If My Feet Are Too Small for the A60?

If your feet are too small for the A60 you may want to consider an alternative. The Aircast AirSport Ankle Brace provides a similar profile of support and includes an extra small option.

What If My A60 feels too tight?

If you find your Aircast A60 Brace fits too tightly, we recommend you try adjusting your brace by moving the fabric further up the foot until it looks in line with the fit pictured in the image below:

Comfortable fit

How Does the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Prevent Sprains and Rollovers?

The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace features a plastic stabiliser that goes from one side of your ankle to the other, resting comfortably under the arch of your foot. The proprioceptive nature of the brace means you are more subconsciously aware of where you are placing your foot, reducing the risk of further injury.

Unlike traditional ankle supports, which are often designed with a 90° angle, the Aircast A60 Brace supports the ankle at 60°. This is akin to the angle of your foot during activities, making the Aircast A60 Brace ideal for preventing sprains and ankle rollover during sports.

The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Supports the Ankle with a 60 Degree Moulded Stabiliser

What Should I Do If I Fall Between Sizes?

If your shoe size falls between two sizing boundaries, we suggest selecting the larger of the two sizes for comfort. However, if you would prefer a snug fit, please select the lower of the two sizes.

If your ankle is swollen and you are close to a sizing boundary, we would advise choosing a larger size.

Can I Wear the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace with an Existing Sprain?

The Aircast A60 Brace is designed to provide prophylactic protection and support, preventing injuries before they occur. This preventative ankle brace is therefore not suitable for wearing while you are suffering from an existing sprain.

If you require a brace for functional recovery of an existing sprain, the Aircast Air-Stirrup Universe Ankle Brace will help to reduce swelling and pain. If you’re almost ready to begin physical activity again before a full recovery, we recommend the semi-rigid cushioning support of the Aircast Airsport Ankle Brace.

Can I Wear the Aircast A60 On Either Foot?

As the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace features an anatomical shape to fit with the curves of your ankle, it should be worn only on the specified foot. If you find that you have a particularly protruding ankle bone, we recommend that you boost the comfort of your A60 Ankle Brace with a gel sleeve.

Can I Wear an Aircast A60 Ankle Brace on Both Ankles?

Yes! If you have previously suffered sprains on both ankles and wish to protect against a similar injury in the future, then wearing an Aircast A60 Brace on each ankle is a good measure to prevent against sprains and ankle rollover.

Will the Aircast A60 Brace Fit Inside My Normal Shoes?

With a low-profile design that doesn’t bulk out your footwear, you can wear the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace inside virtually any trainer, football boot, or shoe. As you can see from the image below, the brace contours to your ankle shape without excessive bulk, making sure it won’t compromise your footwear and your comfort.

Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace

How Comfortable Is the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?

The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace is lightweight and incredibly comfortable to wear! The stabiliser rests snugly under the arch of your foot without adding any bulk to your shoes, and the curved stabilisers conform to the natural shape of your foot for improved comfort.

Do I Wear Socks with the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?

It’s best to wear the Aircast A60 brace on top of a sock. Not only will this make it more comfortable, but it will also prevent it from moving around while you’re active. There’s no need to compromise your warmth while playing sports outdoors!

What Is Anti-Migration and How Does the Aircast A60 Stay In Place?

If you’ve ever worn an ankle brace that has turned out to be anything other than supportive, you’ll know that it’s incredibly annoying and uncomfortable if it shifts around while you’re working out. This movement, or migration, is prevented by the anti-migration design of the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace.

As the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace wraps under the arch of the foot, anchoring the support in the correct position, the ankle brace is prevented from migrating up the leg during use. This means that the Aircast A60 reduces the risk of the brace moving out of its correct position and limits the time you need to spend repositioning the brace during sport or activity.

What Should I Do After I Take Off the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?

After removing the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace, we recommend that you gently apply an ice pack to the area. Not only will this feel soothing after an intense workout, but it will also help to prevent any post-match discomfort from turning into something more nasty. The Ankle Ice Pack Wrap Saver Pack is a perfect solution!

How Often Will I Be Able to Wear the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?

You can wear the Aircast A60 Brace whenever you feel the need to protect your ankle during physical activities. The mesh fabric construction surrounding the plastic stabilisers stands up to vigorous use whether outdoors on the pitch or inside the sports hall, ensuring it can provide you with vital support time and time again.

What’s the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Made Of?

The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace is made from special Breathe-O-Prene fabric while the stabiliser inside the ankle brace is made from a moulded plastic to provide reliable support at a 60° angle. Although rigid enough to provide effective stability, the stabiliser is not uncomfortable and does not hinder your movement. A full list of materials include:

  • Nylon
  • Spandex
  • Polyester
  • Polypropylene Resin
  • Polyethylene Foam

Is the Aircast A60 a Latex-Free Ankle Brace?

Yes! The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace is free from latex, making it a suitable option for you if you’re worried about latex allergies or often find latex-based products to be uncomfortable or irritating.

Quite loose fitting
17 August 2024  |

I ordered the medium size as I have size 7-8 feet. Unfortunately it seems quite loose at the bottom around the foot and doesn't feel like it is giving me a lot of support as my foot can wobble around. This bit can't be tightened either. Other than that the sides are good and it does feel more snug once I have my football boot on. It's comfortable to wear too.

A60 Aircast Brace
04 August 2024  |

Excellent delivery and service by THinksport. I ordered the medium size (Ladies shoe size 7) , however due to having quite thick ankles I have not been able to use either brace as the sock part of the brace will not strap around my ankles.
The braces are excellent just not suitable for a thicker ankle.

Purchased following ligament tears in ankle. Used this to help gradually get back into training. So far it has been very good. Make sure you read the instructions on how to put it on properly. It has given me the confidence to slowly build back up and not worry about injury on the court. Excellent

Does the job.
However when arrived the box containing the A60 was battered, partially open at one end and looked as though it was a returned item by a previous customer

Didn’t work for me
23 October 2023  |

The small sizing was up to a size 6. I am a 4 1/2. I found it difficult to get on & then wearing it was too painful to continue with it on.
Delivery wasn’t the quickest I have experienced & I am awaiting a return number before sending it back.

Good support
12 April 2021  |

Provides good support. Only reason not 5 stars as strap could be longer - quite a struggle as to get through buckle as only really small part of Velcro to hold.
