What's Included?
Who Can Make Gains with the ROM Range of Motion Elbow Brace?
This elbow brace is designed for people with elbow injuries or strains. We therefore recommend using it in the following circumstances:
- Sports players, when exercising using a repetitive motion involving the arm and elbow area. The most obvious examples of this are racket sports such as tennis, squash, badminton and racquets, as well as golf players.
- Gym-goers and weightlifters, when lifting heavy and straining the arm and elbow area through a throwing or pulling motion. Specific examples include weight lifters, hammer throwers and javelin athletes.
- Outdoor adventurers, following overexertion of the area. For example, while throwing a ball for your dog or hiking up a mountain with hiking poles. Surfers and rock climbers are also at risk of injury in this area, amongst other outdoor activities involving pulling, or pushing your bodyweight.
- Laypeople, who need support following strain or injury from everyday repetition such as typing on a computer or writing. Elbow injuries can occur randomly and from often small movements, particularly if we are stressed or have experienced injuries in this area before, making it even more susceptible to injury.
Indications of the ROM Elbow Brace
The ROM Elbow Brace has been designed to provide reliable post-operative immobilisation, controlling range of movement to help with healing and recovery. It can also be worn as part of a conservative treatment for elbow dislocation, and is suitable for stable or internally fixed fractures of the distal humorous or proximal radius or ulna.
What Injuries Require an Elbow Brace?
There are a number of sport-related injuries causing elbow injuries and muscle tears. Some examples of this include:
- Elbow Dislocation and Fractures
- Ulnar Neuritis
- Tendinitis
- Ulnar Collateral Ligament Injury (UCL)
- Olecranon Stress Fractures
- Tennis Elbow
- Golfer's Elbow
- Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
When Should I Wear an Elbow Brace?
This particular brace, and elbow braces in general, are best worn during activities that hurt the wrist, such as daily wrist rotations or general movements, and during repeated elbow movements, for example, playing sports or while typing on a keyboard. The key is that elbow braces should be worn during activities which cause pain - but should not be worn for extended periods of time.

How Do I Use the ROM Elbow Brace?
For detailed instructions on the use of this elbow brace, take a look at the PDF instruction manual in the table below:
Immobilisation with the ROM Elbow Brace
The ROM Elbow Brace provides immobilisation of the elbow at 10° to 15° increments. It limits range of movement by adjusting the hinge settings.
By providing adjustable immobilisation, the brace will be ideal for conditions where progressive treatment and healing takes place. It can be altered over time as and when required to accommodate the changing needs of the injured or affected elbow.
Extension and Flexion Limitations
The ROM Range of Motion Elbow Brace is available for both the right and the left elbow, and can be adjusted to provide the preferred extension and flexion limitations. The immobilisation of the elbow can be altered for both extension and flexion limitation at 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90°.
