How Do I Use Wrist Straps?
Simply put each loop around your wrists, and wrap the loose ends around the barbell or dumbbell. The wrap should be looped underneath the bar rather than over the top. This will create a connection between your hands and the weight that is much stronger than using your fingers alone. Wearing the Fitness-Mad Straps will enable you to lift heavier weights and reduce risk of injury.
When Should I Use Lifting Straps?
We recommend wearing straps when you are performing pulling movement with maximal or near-maximal weights, such as deadlifts, rows and power cleans. This is because your grip can easily give out during those last few painful reps, resulting in hand and wrist strain. Please be aware that straps are not beneficial when you are pressing weight away from you.
