Can I Wear This Cover at the Beach?

Since this waterproof cover features an open bottom, you may experience issues with sand and water getting into the bottom of the boot. In these situations, it might be worth considering an alternative or avoiding going near the water.

Aircast boot cover

I wore my new Aircast boot cover in heavy rain for the first time and was delighted to return home with a dry boot and liner.
It is easy to fit and simple to remove and dry after use.
The bottom is open but velcro under the front to keep toes dry.
As the rain was heavy I also used a heavy duty slip on shoe cover which is also elasticated the kind decorators use. This kept my foot totally dry.

Having ruptured my AT and wearing a boot, this waterproof protection for my boot was essential for moving out doors with the risk of rain. So easy to fit and remove, looks good (certainly better than plastic bag) and keeps the boot dry. Also great service, easily ordered and delivered earlier than expected.

I’ve used this nearly every day for about three weeks now to walk the dog. As it’s autumn the grass is quite wet most mornings and on a couple of days it has been raining. So far it has been brilliant at keeping the water out and it’s also helped to keep my air cast clean.

I bought this cover for my Aircast boot to protect it from wet and mud (rather than using a plastic bag). It's been really useful for going to the stables to check on the horses (generally rather muddy underfoot!). The only drawback is that my toes can get rather wet and cold but that's a minor problem.

A good compromise

I bought this as I’m in a boot for an ankle fracture for several weeks but still want to potter in the garden and do short walks with the dog . I have a different brand of boot supplied by the hospital so this is a good compromise for me ; so it obviously isn’t perfectly suited to my specific boot but, I can still use it to keep the upper of my boot clean and dry ...if it’s very wet or long grass ...I get water creeping in at the toes ...but this is perhaps because it’s not made for this specific boot ....and easily remedied by Putting a bag on my foot before wearing the boot and cover. It’s very durably made and because it doesn’t go underneath the boot it’s not going to wear out or make your boot sole slippery . Would definitely recommend trying even if you don’t have the compatible boot.

Absolutely brilliant. Looks like and does exactly what it says on the site. Ordered mid day, arrived the next morning. Has made walking outside in wet weather possible and therefore added a further practical dimension to the cast. Thank you and so sensible not to cover the underneath of the cast as it would wear out immediately.
